Born in Berkeley, raised by hippies and wolves in the forest, schooled in the Sucka Free City.

Deriving his name from a stab suffered on the school yard at the age of six, Armslice began making music with his brothers at 13, back in 1998.

A career sound engineer, while working at the Boom Boom Room, Slice took on the monicker Slice IX, and began organizing Return of the Cypher in 2013.
